The crew of the Oliphaunt have earned the freedom to go where they please, but they've still got bills to pay and old enemies hot on their tail! The Fly Free or Die Adventure Path continues, as the player characters travel to the Veskarium, an interplanetary empire ruled by the militant and lizard-like Vesk, where the crew must become smugglers and bounty hunters, capturing illegal resources in the turbulent storms of a gas giant! But along the way, they're forced to make some tough decisions that will come back to haunt them later, attracting the anger of the Vesk military itself. Can the player characters keep running forever, or will they eventually turn, stand, and fight for their lives?

"Merchants of the Void" is a Starfinder adventure for four 3rd-level characters. This adventure continues the Fly Free or Die Adventure Path, a six-part monthly campaign in which players take on the role of a merchant crew with an experimental starship, trying to get rich, escape interplanetary assassins, and outwit their rivals. This volume also details a crew of smugglers who cross the players at every turn, their starship, a collection of alien threats, a mysterious tropical paradise planet, and a series of “Side Jobs”—short mini-adventures the GM can insert into the campaign at any time.

You hail from Absalom Station, a huge space platform that is the hub of culture, commerce, and government in the solar system known as the Pact Worlds. Life is relatively safe in many districts of Absalom Station, but danger is more common in the hundreds of levels of the Spike that extend beneath the station. In particular, the half‑explored Ghost Levels in the depths of the Spike, abandoned for hundreds of years or more, are home to monsters of all sorts, from simple criminals to alien creatures that have arrived on the station over the years by unknown means, creating whole ecosystems in the gloom. Lately, however, a far greater danger has come to threaten the people of Downside, as locals call the Spike.

A few weeks ago, valuable junk started vanishing from the recycling yards in the Botscrap neighborhood of the Spike. Everything from technological components to scrapped robots has gone missing. Local residents’ livelihoods are at stake, but even worse, there are reports that some people have been killed as well. Someone—or something—has made Downside their hunting ground. Although no one has seen the killer directly, a long metallic shard was found in one of the bodies, prompting the locals to dub the unseen killer “Steel Talon.” Under political pressure to do something about the problem, Absalom Station’s leader, Primex Kumara Melacruz, has put out a call for heroes to search out this menace and stop it before it kills more people.

This adventure is contained within the Starfinder Beginner Box and is sanctioned for Starfinder Society credit.

A Ship Without a Crew

When a brutal gang war breaks out on a docking bay in Absalom Station, the player characters are recruited by the Starfinder Society to investigate the unexpected bloodshed. Delving into the station’s seedy Spike neighborhoods, the heroes confront the gangs and discover that both were paid to start the riot and that the true conflict is between two rival mining companies battling over a new arrival in orbit around the station: a mysteriously deserted ship and the strange asteroid it recovered from the Drift. To head off further violence, the heroes are asked to investigate the ship and discover what happened to its crew, as well as the nature of the asteroid it tows. But what the players find there will set in motion events that could threaten the entirety of the Pact Worlds and change the face of the galaxy forever...

This will be an ongoing Starfinder Adventure Path Campaign. Sign-up preference will be given to recurring players. For this AP, I will be mixing technology into the in-person experience. No fear. You in no way need to do anything different. I will be utilizing a TV for the battle maps and animated maps. To do this I will be using Foundry VVT which presents the ability to use fog-of-war and line of sight better. This will also present the ability for players to use laptops to move their on-screen tokens (then the minis on the screen). I will have a tablet for those that do not bring anything.
The Pathfinder dig site near the Tskikha iruxi enclave in the Blackwood Swamp was, for some time now, considered one of the safer Azlanti ruins to investigate, to the point that it was used as field training for groups of initiates. Having been cleared out years ago by agents, the site was an archeological treasure trove for learning of the elemental magics of ancient Azlant. Something has gone wrong though. The elemental planes have changed in ways that scholars are, even now, struggling to understand, and the latent power within those ruins has manifested. It's been weeks since anyone has heard from the initiates currently on site or the iruxi allies nearby. The Pathfinders must race against time into the bizarre magics wrought by the elements to rescue the Blackwood lost.

For months, citizens of the kasathan colony ship, Idari, have vanished without a trace, disappearing from the idyllic Sea of Grass for a fate unknown. Representatives from the Red Corridors vehemently deny any involvement in the abductions, but rising tensions and the desperation of those who have lost are primed to spark violence. With citizens of both the Sea of Grass and the Red Corridors distrustful of the ruling Doyenate and refusing to cooperate with ship security, the captain of the Idari calls for help from an old friend: Ehu Hadif, current First Seeker of the Starfinder Society.

Depart for the Idari to investigate these mysterious disappearances and find the missing, before suspicion tears the Idari apart.

Resheph III is a toxic furnace of a world. With an extremely dense, acidic atmosphere, nothing can survive long on this hellscape. This makes it the perfect place for Outpost Sigma, an off-the-books research site run by the Aspis Consortium. Even the scientists and engineers who work in secret there know little of what goes on in each other's lab. And the miners who toil beneath the surface know better than to ask. Security is tight and no one outside of their corporate masters even knows that this place exists. But what happens when an earthquake devastates the outpost? What happens when power and life support begin to fail? What happens when the secrets locked in these labs find their way out?

The Specimen is a survival horror themed stand-alone homebrew adventure that includes four 9th-level pre-generated scientists and engineers who have one goal: to escape what remains of Outpost Sigma.

In the aftermath of the Drift Crash, the Starfinder Society dispatches their flagship, Master of Stars, to trawl the distant corners of Pact Worlds space for signs of stranded people, derelict starships, and dangerous planar matter ejected from the Drift. When a starship familiar to the Society, the Triunite vessel the Chronicler, is discovered immobile and powerless, Fitch sends a team of Starfinders to investigate. But this routine rescue mission will lead them far beyond the corridors of the Chronicler, to an annexed Drift beacon and the metaphorical doorstep of the mysterious "4th."

This scenario is one of four stand alone Starfinder Society Scenarios directly tied to the Drift Crisis, a galaxy-wide catastrophe detailed in Starfinder Drift Crisis. While basic knowledge of the Drift Crisis enriches the experience of this adventure, it is not required. The Starfinder Society Drift Crisis Scenarios include: Starfinder Society Scenario Special #4-99: A Time of Crisis, Starfinder Society Scenario #5-04: Fragment of the 4th, Starfinder Society Scenario #5-07: Planar Bloom, and Starfinder Society Scenario #5-14.

Released June 2022.
