WARHORN SITE IS CLOSED FOR ENLISTING, IF YOU WANT TO ENLIST, PLEASE SENT A EMAIL TO THE EVENT ORGANISER.
It's with great pleasure that we announce the fourth edition of V-Con!!
V-Con is held at our family residency "Keep Hope", Kokardebloemlaan 26, Vleuten. It will take place Thirsday 17, Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May 2012. This isn't the convention where you try to get as many adventures as possible and go home sleepdeprived and cranky. This is where you go for fun, relaxed D&D adventures, with time for role play as well.
The program:
On thirsday and friday we will continue the storyline of "Ashes of Athas". We will be running chapter 4, part 1 and 2. Part 3 will be on Friday. "Ashes of Athas" is a Dark Sun living campaign adventure. This chapter consists of 3 closely related adventures, and if you are going to play part you have to play slot 2 and 3 at the same table. You can't play only one slot! But because we don't want to rush, we devide playing this adventure over 2 days. If that is really a problem, let me know. And there are some more rules, for example about character creation: you can read about it on the site of Ashes of Athos.
For those among you who don't like Dark Sun there will be some LFR and Pathfinder adventures. Which ones is not decided yet, if you have any wishes, please let me know. For now, just put your name and the level of character you want to play with, and I will try to find some fitting adventures. Or send me an email with your wishes.
Friday evening we will have something challenging: in co-operation with Sander of Labyrinth we will be running a Lair Assault: "The Attack of the Tyrantclaw." This is really only for tactically-minded players, because you are up for a super challenge where the difference between victory and defeat is dependent upon your game knowledge, ability to adapt, and a little bit of luck. Because it is highly unlikely you succeed at the first attempt, we will run this again (for the same party, as I understand it) on sunday afternoon.
And maybe for those who don't like to play it hard, we can schedule a My Realms adventure.
Or there is the possibility to play some boardgames, if you have had enough D&D for one day.
Saturday we have (again) a battle interactive playtest: ADCP4-2 The Lost City of Suldolphor [playtest]
By Dan Anderson. The ever-shifting sands of the Calimshan desert have uncovered the ancient city Suldolphor. The forces of Calimport, Memnon, and Almraiven converge upon the city, each striving to gain a tactical advantage in Calimshan. This adventure is a combat-intensive two-round continuous-play Living Forgotten Realms Battle Interactive for characters levels 1-20. This adventure can be played before or after the events of SPEC4-3, SPEC4-4, or the CALI Year 4 adventures.
Sunday there will be some LFR and Pathfinder adventures. Again, if you have any whishes, please let me know.
And, as already mentioned before, there will be the 2nd attempt against the Tyrantclaw! |

Venue/Lodging
On Warhorn there is an extra slot on Thirsday, Friday and Saturday, that is not a night-slot for the die-hards, but it is a slot for the sleepy ones: you can put your name there if you want to stay overnight.
But: it's not first come, first served. Logically the beds (1 double bed and 2 single beds) are for people with physical need for a good bed, or for the DM's. But there is also place on the floor (place for about 10-15 people), so you can take an air-mattress and a sleeping bag.
Since we have limited space for people to sleep over we would like to point out that people can also ask other locals if they have a place tot sleep or to arrange a ride with other attendants that live near you.

As you can understand, providing you all with food, drinks and snacks is not cheap. To cover these costs we have a money box in the kitchen and everyone can calculate they're own costs and put the money in the box. Last year and the year before, that went very well, the costs and incomes were about the same.
So we will be having this same system this year. (The main reason is: I don't like to go after everybody to ask for money.) Some examples for calculating your costs: breakfast 2 euros, lunch 3, dinner 3, munchies and drinks per slot 3, and off course what you drink after the slots in the evening...... On saturday I am thinking about ordering pizza's, so that dinner is a bit more expensive. (If you stay the whole weekend that would be about 60 euro's.) And off-course DM's don't have to pay for lunch, dinner or snacks and drinks for the slot they DM. Count it out yourself and put the money in the box in the kitchen downstairs.
Thank you! |
