Join us in sunny Southern California for a week full of gaming. Begin in sunny San Diego on Friday November 10th for Nyrond's Finest City and end it with four days of gaming in Anaheim for Gencon Socal, concluding on Sunday November 19th. And if you don't want to game for 10 days straight, there is plenty of other things to do in Southern California. This event is sandwiched between Nyrond's Finest City and Gencon Socal. This is the pre-Nyrond event for Gencon Socal.
Tuesday night games will not be held in a meeting room. Tuesday night games will probably have us meet in the lobby of the Marriott and then mustered tables will head to a predetermined location.
Wednesday games will be played at the Desert Palms Hotels & Suites at 631 West Katella Avenue in Anaheim, California. The hotel is near the corner of Katella and Harbor. The hotel is within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Center. Games will be held on the fifth floor in the Oasis Ballroom.
There are various food options for those attending the convention. There is a Quiznos inside the hotel, along with a Bar and Grill. In addition, there is a 7-11, Subway, Pizza place, Chinese place, and Indian place easily within walking distance. |

Gencon Socal has a deal with one hotel:
The Gencon Marriott is offering rooms at $89/night. You will need to reserve the room through the Gencon Socal website.
In addition, the Desert Palms Hotels & Suites is offering a special rate for Gencon attendees. You can book rooms for $74.98/night. You can make reservations at 714-535-1133. Mention "Gencon Rate" to receive the special rate. You must make this reservation by October 15th to get the special rate. |

Transportation
There are two convenient airport options for Gencon Socal.
The closest airport to the convention is John Wayne Airport (SNA). It is 12.5 miles away.
There is also Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is 34.9 miles away.
You may also fly into Burbank International Airport (BUR) which is 40.4 miles away, Long Beach International Airport (LGB) which is 17.9 miles away and Ontario International Airport (ONT) which is 35.7 miles away.
The cheapest way to get to the convention is to take a bus from SNA or LAX that is marked "Disneyland". The buses run every half hour and cost $11 one way from SNA and $16 one way from LAX.
