EventOverview

Theocracy by the Bay returns with an expanded lineup of games and some very special events planned. In addition to the new regional premiere of "A Road Less Traveled," we will be offering a two-round special Pale dungeon crawl called "Answers from Beyond" that will only run at this convention. Older Pale regionals will also be available, and we'd be happy to show visitors to the region how cool the Pale really is.

Further, we have been granted the Winter Fantasy Expanded Premiere events, which means we will be running the Living Greyhawk, Legacy of the Green Regent, and Eberron Mark of Heroes events and special delves from Winter Fantasy. We will also have the classic events. We are the only convention west of the Rockies and in the US to be offering these events.

We will be offering a Living Kingdoms of Kalamar trilogy, and will be the premiere convention for the finale, "A Rose by Any Other Name." And we will feature the Living Force trilogy "Jedi Code."

The convention has been granted a couple of special character items to auction for charity. These include a special character (as in an unusual race) for the Living Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign and a unique technological item for the Living Force campaign. The auction will benefit the local chapter of the Humane Society.

So come out to Theocracy by the Bay and play 12 rounds of Living Greyhawk events. Or a trilogy of Living Kalamar and/or Living Force events.

Convention registration and event sign-up are now closed. We will be selling single-day badges for $15 and allowing single-day attendees to sign up to fill empty seats in existing tables. There are a limited number of these available, and these will only be sold at the convention on a first come, first served basis. Check the schedule on warhorn to see which events have empty seats.

We have negotiated a special room rate of $79. When you make your reservation, you must give them the code “Confessions” to receive the rate. A limited number of rooms have been set aside, so make your reservations early.

There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel has a reasonably priced restaurant near the rooms where the games will be played. They will even deliver meals to the gaming tables.

       Transportation

The hotel has a free shuttle to/from the San Jose airport (SJC). The San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) airports are also within 50 miles of the convention hotel.

For those driving, here is a link to a map and driving directions.

       Community

To get the full convention experience, you'll want to join some Yahoogroups, at least until the convention passes.

All attendees should join the Theocracy by the Bay Players group to get up-to-the-minute information and talk about the convention.

We also recommend that everyone join the Pale yahoogroup.

Judges are required to join the TbtB Judge group for discussing issues, planning slot zeroes and getting scenario information.

As convention information changes, we'll update this site.

Here are some links to sources of information about the campaigns that we feature at the convention. Please visit their websites to learn about the campaigns before arriving at the show.
