GASPcon is entering its Eleventh year, and this year we are continuing with the convention expanding to 3 days. The great news is if you pre-register the cost is only $20 for all 3 days.
GASPcon will once again be located at the Best Western Inn at the Parkway Center Mall. Dates are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday November 12th, 13th, and 14th. Doors will open at noon on Friday, and the gaming will continue nonstop until we close Sunday night at 10PM.
GASPcon has something for everyone: RPGA events; Board Games; Independent Role Playing; Magic: The Gathering; and Miniature events.

**** Hotel Space ****
Due to a Steelers home game on November 14th the hotel has very limited availability. Below is a list of nearby hotels that may still have rooms available, if there is nothing available at the Best Western. If they are sold out, you can still call the Best Western at (412)922-7070, and asked to be put on a waiting list for cancellations. You might want to make a reservation at another hotel as a back-up. If you think you are going to be staying over night you should would make your reservations ASAP. Most hotels have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

**** GASPcon now accepts Credit Cards ****
Past GASPcons were cash-only for things like on-site registration and payments for the silent auction. That changes this year as we now will accept credit cards as a form of payment.
Payments for snacks will be also be accepted, in the form of a Snack Attack card. These pre-paid cards can be purchased at the registration desk, and we will hole-punch the card for each drink or snack you get. More details will be available at the convention.

This just in! Everyone who pre-registered for this year's convention will receive a free board game. If we have any left over games we will give them to on-site registrations as long as supplies last.

GASPcon Silent Auction:
This year we will be holding several auctions throughout the convention starting Saturday morning. If you are looking to make a little cash or clear out some closet space bring your gaming related items to the con. There are a few details you should know so click HERE for complete details.
The Kings Champion Tournament:
Fight your way through the Kingdom to be named Champion. Using the time honored fighting technique of Rock, Paper, Scissors (sorry no Spock or Lizards) to defeat you competitors.
There is no need to sign up for this event. You will be given everything you need for the tournament when you pick up your con Badge.

--- Special Gaming Tracks ---
Board Game Bonanza:
The game library returns and this year it will be bigger than ever. 100's of games will be available for you to check-out and play, and we will even try to find people to play them with you. Got your own game, that's fine, just find an open gaming table and set it up. Don't know how to play board games, not a problem, we will have several demo games that we will teach you the rules for, or we will find one of our board game experts to show the ropes.
Pittsburgh Indie RPG Explosion:
The flame was lit last year but this year we have a bit of a bonfire. We have a great line up of independent RPG's on the schedule this year and enough events in the schedule to keep you busy the entire convention. If you haven't experienced Indie RPG's, this will be a great opportunity to try a different side of Role Playing. If you have never role played before, Indie games are a great way to explore the hobby. All the events on the schedule do not require any experience and most can be learned in minutes. In addition to having several games on the schedule we will have a library of Indie game systems you can check out during the con to read or start up your own game.
RPGA:
All the RPGA LFR events are now scheduled and available for registration. Don't miss out on these exclusive first run events at GASPcon. There are over 40 RPGA events scheduled throughout the weekend. Check out the schedule for complete event listings.
Miniature Events:
We have a good mix of events this year including the return of the ever popular BattleTech Poker Run, the yearly Star Wars Miniatures Tile Wars, and several miniature tournaments. Lord of the Rings is the theme this year, and there will be events run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The signature miniature event this year will be a 2-part scenario recreating the breaking of the Fellowship at the Battle of Amon Hen. Check the event listing for all the details.
GASPcon Super Spectacular Prize Give Away:
Just like last year, we will have a whole pile of donated gaming goodies to give away. The prizes will be handed out on Sunday at 1:00 PM, and you must be present to win. Check out the full details below on how the raffle will work.
We will hold 2 separate raffles, Gold and Silver. When you arrive at the convention your badge will be marked with either a Gold or Silver sticker based on the following: Pre-Registration - Gold; On Site Registration - Silver
As a "Thank You" to the GASP Knights who have given their time and money to support GASP and GASPcon this year, you will be given a Gold sticker regardless of how you register.
At the time of the raffle we will collect everyone's badge and put them in one of two buckets, Gold or Silver. We will draw names from the Gold bucket first. Once everyone in the Gold bucket has received a prize we will start drawing names from the Silver bucket until we run out of prizes.
So be sure to pre-register to ensure your place in the Gold raffle.
