Blackmoor
Baptism
What
is Blackmoor?
Have you heard
about Blackmoor? Then this is your chance to find out all about it.
Blackmoor a
Massively Multiplayer roleplaying game, based on the Dungeons and
Dragons ruleset, where all players use the same set of rules making
worldwide play possible. This means you can start a character here in
Atlanta, and play him or her all over the world, with different groups
of players and different game masters. This is a great way to meet
local gamers and to connect with gamers wherever you go. This also
means, that unlike a home game, you can find a Blackmoor game pretty
easily.
Blackmoor is played in a series of modules called "episodes" that take
about four hours each to play (and the time it takes one episode to
play is called a "slot" at this convention). The Blackmoor modules are
called epsodes because they are like episodes in a really good TV show
- each one explores something a little different, and will present your
character with a new set of challenges. You'll play each episode with a
game master, and between three and six other people.
To play Blackmoor,
you should have a copy of the Dungeons
and Dragons players handbook, or the 3.5 Open
Game Liscence, a set of dice, a pencil, and your imagination. We'll
lend you everything but the imagination!
If you're new to
Blackmoor, please be sure to sign up for the specially discounted NEW
PLAYER package when registration opens.

characters.

more about the convention, and the click the "register to attend"
button at the top of this page to sign up.
Episodes
We're going to run
a great set of adventures! The adventures will be arranged so you can
play an episode, and all of it's sequels at once.
This con will be
small - right now we're planning on five or six tables per slot. If
preregistration is enormous, we may expand.
Also, we are going
to run this "Fiesta Style". That means if you can organize a set of at
least four players and want to play a particular episode, we'll beg,
buy, borrow, or steal a game master for you. If you have particular
requests for an episode ahead of time, then once you and the people you
want to play with all register, then EMAIL "scorpienne at gmail dot
com" with the player names and the requested mod and ATL, and I'll set
it up for you on the schedule so that you and your friends can all sign
up for it.
