OGA Con is a 1 day board game convention being held in the Orlando area on April 26th, 2008. The location is CoolStuffInc.com at 3592 Aloma Ave. Suite 6, Winter Park, FL 32792. There is a $5.00 entry fee for unlimited access throughout the day. The convention features board games such as Settlers of Catan, Power Grid, Puerto Rico and many, many more. The doors will open at 9:00 am and the scheduled gaming begins at 10:00, but entrants may begin open gaming as soon as they get settled in. The location has snack items such as soda, chips and candy available, as well as a HUGE selection of games and game accessories.
It seems that we have one minor oversight...minors at the convention. We invite children as long as there will be a supervising adult in attendance. There will be no charge for children under 10 years of age. |

Venue/Lodging
There is a Holiday Inn ($82.50/night) and a Hampton Inn ($93/night) about 7 miles away at I-4 and SR 436, a Holiday Inn Select near UCF ($78.95/night), a Suburban Extended Stay ($50-$60/night) in Casselberry (less than 6 miles). CSI is in the least ‘hotel’ populated part of Orlando, but the store is only ¼ mile off of SR 436, so getting there from the Holiday Inn would be easy. |

Community
OGA Con welcomes everyone who enjoys board gaming and would like to spend a day learning new games or enjoying favorites. Our group, the Orlando Gamers Association, numbers in excess of 35 members and almost all are planning on attending this event. We also are welcoming our friends from the Florida Suncoast Gamers in the Tampa area along with friends from both Jacksonville and Gainesville.
