Conquest Vegas 2008

Building on our positive experience last fall, the organizers of Neoncon 2007 have been asked to coordinate all RPGA events at Conquest Vegas 2008. As with Neoncon, this event will be a Nyrond/Pale bordercon featuring regional scenarios from The Kingdom of Nyrond and Theocracy of the Pale.

Not from Nyrond or The Pale? Learn more about these Greyhawk regions by visiting our websites:

Conquest Vegas will feature Year 7 & Year 8 adventures from Nyrond, the Pale and Living Greyhawk Core events.

As specific sessions are finalized, a detailed session schedule will be posted here. Then, you will be able to register for individual sessions. The initial session schedule should be posted no later than March 22nd, 2008. Depending on on demand, the schedule may change as we get closer to the event. So, be sure to check back regularly.

Hotel and Venue

Make your hotel reservations for ConQuest VEGAS 2008 now and lock in the convention rate of just $127/night. That gives you one of Bally's spacious 450 square foot Deluxe rooms, complete with luxuries like high speed Internet access, a dual-line speakerphone, and more.

As a ConQuest attendee, you get the special show rate from Thursday, April 17, through Thursday, April 24. Arrive early and make ConQuest acomplete Las Vegas adventure!

To reserve your room for ConQuest VEGAS 2008, call Bally’s Las Vegas at +1 800-634-3434 (or +1 702-967-4111). Ask the reservation specialist for the “Game Manufacturers Association 2008 Trade Show” rate, convention code SBGMA8. Bally's accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diner's Club.

NOTE: As of Friday, March 21st, hotel registration at the discounted convention rate will remain open until the entire block of rooms is booked. With that said, rooms are going fast. So, it is best to book as soon as you can. Once all of the rooms are booked, the discount rate will be closed out.

We are looking into a convention rate at the Paris hotel as well. However, while connected to Bally's, the Paris is no where near as convenient. And, there is no guarantee that we'll be able to secure additional rooms at nearly as good a rate as we have with Bally's. In any case, the Paris rate will not be made available until the Bally's block is sold out.

So again, don't take too long to book your room.

And now, the fine print...

All reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit for the first night's guestroom and tax charge. If the reservation is guaranteed to a credit card, a first night's guestroom and tax charge, per guestroom, will be billed immediately to the card holder's account. All reservations are non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.

Bally's will add an early check-out fee of $50 plus tax to an individual's account if they check out prior to their reserved check out date. You can change your check out date for free at any time before arriving or during the check in process.

Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. Each guestroom must have at least one registered guest 21 years of age or older.

Transportation

Because Las Vegas is one of the top 10 travel destinations in the world, finding a reasonably priced roundtrip airfare is usually pretty easy to do. When booking your flight, you want Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport (LAS).

Check in at the Airport!

Attendees staying at any of the Harrah’s properties can register at their hotel before they even leave the airport. If you are staying at Bally’s Las Vegas, Caesar’s Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Rio or Flamingo Las Vegas, you can register by using the Caesar’s hotel check-in facility at McCarran International Airport. When you check in at the airport, you will receive your room key before you leave the airport.

The check-in facility is located near Carousel One in the south half of the main baggage claim area. This is in close proximity to the exits from Terminals C and D.

Hotel Airport Shuttle

Transportation to the hotel is available via shuttle. The cost of $7 per person one-way or $14 per person round trip may be charged to your room upon check-in at the airport. The check-in facility is located near Carousel 1 in the south half of the main baggage claim area. This is in close proximity to the exits from Terminals C and D.

Community

Hook up with your fellow attendees before the con. Plan your strategy. Find a ride, a room or both. Or, just shoot the breeze; just create an account at the Conquest Vegas Yahoo Group.

RPGA Organizers

The RPGA events at Conquest Vegas are being organzied by Doug Daulton; one of the founders of NeonCon, a premiere Las Vegas gaming convention held in the fall. Many of our GMs will be members of The Sin City Ogres; a very active club of Las Vegas roleplaying and tabletop gaming enthusiasts. We encourage you to check out both NeonCon and The Sin City Ogres.
