Troop 323 - 2009 Fireworks Fundraiser
Where: Martin Luther Lutheran Church Parking Lot,
1200 SW Blue Parkway
When: Thurs. June 25 through Sat. July 4
Set-up starts at 3:30 PM on Thurs. June 25. We'll need at least 2o volunteers to get everything set up by 9:00 that evening. The first "Volunteer Staffing" shift begins on Fri. June 26 at 8:00 AM. Shifts are 4 hours in length except for the Security shifts, and the latter part of the day on July 4th
Note: We have 4 Scouters from our Troop who will be providing nighttime security for the tent. Only these "qualified" gentlemen will be filling those slots from Midnight - 8:00 AM
Who may volunteer: Troop 323 Parents and Scouts.
Adults (21 and over) provide most of the staffing for this Fundraiser due to its nature. We are required to have 2-3 adults on site at all times.
A Scout who is already 15 years old may sign up to help Staff the tent without parental accompaniment.
All scouts under the age of 15 must be accompanied by their parent/guardian to assist with staffing duties.
Only Adults (21 years +) will handle money transactions. All those under age 21 will help with pricing, stocking, customer assistance, bagging purchases, etc.
Everyone (regardless of age) who helps with Set-up gets credit for hours volunteered. Credit for volunteer hours for staffing the tent is attributed to those age 15 and older. Please have your scout volunteer his time with you, the parent, as this provides a great business learning experience, help and support for the Troop, as well as help contributing to the Scout's Camp account. All profits will be divided among volunteers (age 15+) per hour volunteered. The more hours volunteered, the more credit into your Scout's Camp account.
Start spreading the word to "everyone" with whom you come into contact. Our location has changed so tell all family, friends, church members, co-workers, etc. the dates and location of our tent. Let them know we get 30% of everything sold, and Troop 323 would certainly appreciate their support!!
